Dr. Monte Harrel
Monte is passionate about family practice and is thrilled to launch Lakeside Eyecare in Oologah, Oklahoma, where he will serve Oologah and the surrounding areas. He cherished his time with his previous patients and team, but after transitioning ownership of his former practice and taking a short break, he’s excited to return to a smaller town environment and become an active part of the community. A graduate of Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma College of Optometry at NSU, Dr. Harrel also served as an adjunct clinical professor there for several years. He is a past president of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, Brooke, their son, and his two daughters.
Dr. Denise Burns
Dr. Denise Burns graduated from Oklahoma State University with her bachelors degree in Premedical Sciences and from Northeastern State University with her bachelors in Vision Science. In 2000, she completed her doctorate, summa cum laude, from Northeastern State University College of Optometry. Through 25 years, she has practiced in Tulsa, Bartlesville, Killeen, Texas; Temple, Texas and at Fort Hood Military Base. Dr Burns has lived with her husband and 3 children in Owasso since 2005.
